“It is with heavy hearts that we announce that, following an accident, he has left us!”

A 44-year-old former NFL star, known for his time with the Cleveland Browns, has tragically passed away in a car accident. His funeral is being held today, as reported by the Akron Beacon Journal.

The former running back, who had a notable moment in the 2001 season with the Browns, is remembered for a crucial touchdown he scored against the Super Bowl-winning Baltimore Ravens, contributing to a 27–17 victory. Despite this standout performance, his NFL career included only one other touchdown.

After retiring from football, he worked as a welder and remained actively involved in his community. He married Margarita in February 2012, and the couple had three children together: a son, two daughters, and a granddaughter. A devoted Christian, he was also engaged with Platte Valley Baptist Church in Fort Morgan, Colorado.
