The sole surviving member of the Nelons group has issued a deeply moving statement following the tragic plane crash that claimed the lives of the other members on board.

The crash, which occurred over Wyoming, resulted in the deaths of seven individuals: Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, their daughter Amber, her husband Nathan Kistler, family associate Melanie Hodges, and pilot Larry Haynie along with his wife Melissa.

Autumn Nelon Streetman, who was not on the plane, shared her grief and appreciation for the support she has received. She said, “As many of you know, my parents, Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, along with my sister Amber, brother-in-law Nathan, and our dear friends Melodi Hodges, Larry, and Melissa Haynie, were involved in a devastating plane crash on Friday.”

She expressed heartfelt gratitude, stating, “Thank you for the prayers for me, my husband Jamie, our soon-to-be-born son, and Jason’s parents, Dan and Linda Clark. Your love and support are helping us through these incredibly difficult days.”

A video recorded shortly before the flight shows Jason Nelon Clark interacting with family and the pilot at a Nebraska runway, smiling and engaging in conversation.

The aircraft involved, a Pilatus PC-12/47E owned by Haynie Enterprises, is under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board.

The Nelons, renowned for their significant contributions to gospel music, were inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame in 2016. Their influential songs include “I Shall Not Be Moved,” “Come Morning,” and “We Shall Wear a Robe and Crown.” Over their distinguished career, they received three Grammy nominations and were celebrated as a major force in American gospel music.
