Famous 80s star actress was found dead at four in the morning in an open field

Jennifer Robyn Bernard, known for her role as Terry Brock on the beloved soap opera General Hospital, passed away this week, leaving behind a cherished legacy. Robyn, who brought the character Terry Brock to life in the 1980s, was found in San Jacinto, California.

Police responded to a call on Tuesday to investigate a death, and Robyn was identified through her fingerprints. She passed away at 4 a.m. in an open field behind a business, according to a report from the Riverside County Coroner. The exact cause of her death has not yet been determined, and an autopsy is scheduled to be conducted. The results of the toxicology test are expected in the coming weeks.

Born on May 26, 1959, in Gladewater, Texas, Robyn Bernard began her career with a role in the movie Diva in 1981. Before landing her significant role on General Hospital, she appeared in various shows, including Whiz Kids in 1983 and The Facts of Life in 1984. According to IMDB, she was featured in 145 episodes of General Hospital from 1984 to 1990. In 2002, she portrayed a psychologist in Voices from the High School.

Robyn’s sister, Crystal Bernard, is also a well-known actress. Crystal, 62, is recognized for her roles as Helen Chappel-Hackett on Wings, Amy on It’s a Living, and K.C. Cunningham on Happy Days.

The General Hospital community was already mourning the loss of another beloved star, Jacklyn Zeman, who passed away in May of the previous year. Jacklyn, known for her iconic role as Bobbie Spencer, died at age 70 after a long battle with cancer. Her family confirmed her passing on May 10, 2023. Frank Valentini, the executive producer of General Hospital, expressed his grief on Twitter, writing, “I am heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Jackie Zeman. Just like her character, the legendary Bobbie Spencer, she was a bright light and true professional who brought so much positive energy to work. We will miss Jackie a lot, but her wonderful spirit will live on in our cast and crew forever.”

Jacklyn was survived by her daughters Cassidy and Lacey, and she was remembered fondly by her many friends and family members. Her co-stars and colleagues also shared their condolences and memories. Rick Springfield, an Australian actor and musician who played Dr. Noah Drake on General Hospital, told People that he was “incredibly shocked and heartbroken” to hear about Jackie’s death.
